Your responsibilities

  • Own the master production schedule (MPS) and finite production scheduling for the shop floor, ensuring on-time delivery performance and optimal machine and labor utilization.
  • Translate customer demand, forecasts, and inventory targets into executable production plans, aligning with Manufacturing and customers on priorities and capacity constraints.
  • Provide daily, hands-on support to production planners to adjust schedules and track order completion statuses.
  • Directly manage the purchasing function, including workload prioritization, Cost optimization targets and escalation support.
  • Execute and support tactical buying activities, including placing purchase orders, expediting, de-expediting, and resolving supplier delivery and quality issues.
  • Oversee customs and import activities for all incoming goods, ensuring accurate documentation, HS classifications, valuations, and compliance with applicable trade regulations.
  • Directly manage the internal customs SME to Coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and carriers to manage inbound shipments, lead times, and customs clearance to minimize delays and demurrage.
  • Develop and maintain accurate item master data, lead times, safety stocks, and order quantities in the ERP system to support reliable planning and scheduling.
  • Monitor material availability, open purchase orders, and inventory levels, proactively identifying and resolving potential shortages or excesses.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to align material strategies with production plans, cost targets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and best practices for planning, purchasing, and customs processes. Strong collaboration with our global team is required for that.

Your qualifications

  • B.S. in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in materials management, production planning, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in production scheduling and buying, with willingness to spend significant time on the shop floor and directly execute purchasing tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP ERP system with deep proficiency in Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) modules.
  • Proven ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize SAP planning parameters (MRP types, lot sizing, safety stocks, lead times) and support end users in daily SAP operations.
  • Experience managing international suppliers and imports, including customs, HTS classification, and working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles, lead time management, and demand planning.
  • Proven ability to interpret and act on KPIs, drive root cause analysis, and implement sustained process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to influence and align stakeholders in Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially excel and PowerBi
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance with company policies and applicable trade regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
